After fixing it with CCleaner, Microsoft Defender may still flag it as a threat, so you should whitelist it. Here's how:
Step 1: Press the Windows key to open the Start menu. Type Virus & threat protection in the search bar and press Enter.

Step 2: The Windows Security app will launch. Click Manage settings.
Step 3: Click the Add or Remove Exceptions button in the Exceptions section.

CCleaner requires Internet access to check for application and driver updates; some related features will not work without it. Accordingly, if CCleaner cannot bypass the firewall, it will not work properly.
