Cleaner Whitelist in Windows Security

After fixing it with CCleaner, Microsoft Defender may still flag it as a threat, so you should whitelist it. Here's how:

Step 1: Press the Windows key to open the Start menu. Type Virus & threat protection in the search bar and press Enter.

Step 2: The Windows Security app will launch. Click Manage settings.


Step 3: Click the Add or Remove Exceptions button in the Exceptions section.

Step 4: The User Account Control window will appear. Click Yes.

Step 5: Click the Add Exception button. Select the File hong kong telegram data option from the next menu.

Step 6: Go to the Programs folder. Double-click the CCleaner64.exe file to add it.

Step 7: Close Windows Security and check if the utility works properly.

4. Exclude CCleaner in your firewall.
CCleaner requires Internet access to check for application and driver updates; some related features will not work without it. Accordingly, if CCleaner cannot bypass the firewall, it will not work properly.
