The creation of a national system of protection against DDoS attacks was announced by the Director of the Center for Monitoring and Control of the Public Communications Network of the Main Radio Frequency Center, Sergei Khutortsev.
"We plan to expand the saudi arabia cell phone number list capabilities of the TSPU - to create a global system to counter DDos attacks. Recent events have shown that we are already effectively coping with this function. But we need to ensure more multi-level monitoring and the reflection of more complex, specific attacks," he said from the rostrum of the Spektr-2022 forum.
The creation of a system to counter DDoS attacks is scheduled for the end of 2024. Before that, at the end of 2023, it is planned to achieve full coverage of the Russian segment of the public communications network with technical means of countering threats (TMTS) used to filter traffic.
to the security and stability of the Internet and public communications network, which are regularly held with the participation of operators within the framework of the law on the sovereign Runet, this year were devoted specifically to repelling DDoS attacks.
In addition, Sergei Khutortsev reported that it is planned to introduce a system to combat fraud.
Roskomnadzor head Andrey Lipov reported that the Antifraud system will be launched in 2023. This year, test operation will take place with several large operators.
"Development of more effective monitoring and repulsion of complex and specific attacks is relevant. The issue of creating the system is within the competence of Roskomnadzor," the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media told ComNews.
Roskomnadzor did not provide any additional information about ComNews’ DDoS attack countermeasure system.
Oleg Ladny, a specialist in the security analysis unit at Infosecurity, a Softline Company, noted that the system is vital for protecting Russia's critical infrastructure, given the increased number of attacks on government resources and the departure of Western cybersecurity solution providers. "The infrastructure can be organized directly by the Ministry of Digital Development or with the support of a company that has experience in creating a large cluster of digital solutions," he suggested. "Due to the global geopolitical situation and the development of digitalization in Russia, such attacks are growing, so if such a system is created and implemented at the highest level, it will be a big step forward in organizing domestic traffic monitoring systems."
