Beeline to retain its brand after sale to Russian top management

Mobile operator Beeline will retain its brand after its sale by Veon to Russian top management, said the operator's general director Alexander Torbakhov.

In early November, the Dutch telecommunications holding Veon announced that it had begun the process of selling its business in Russia to VimpelCom. Soon after, VimpelCom announced that the company would be bought out by its top management, headed by CEO Alexander Torbakhov, for 130 billion rubles. As noted in a press release from Veon, the company was valued at 370 billion rubles as part of the deal.
