Company "Irtea" (a subsidiary of MTS) has signed a forward contract with MTS for 20 thousand BS. The company plans to start operating 300 of its own base stations in 2024. Some of them will operate in 5G standards, some - LTE. This was reported by the general director of "Irtea" Dmitry Lakontsev at CIPR.
"Irtea" is preparing its ivory coast whatsapp number database own production, its launch is planned for May-June. We will start producing base station units in the summer. One of the goals for this year is to include three versions of base stations developed by "Irtea" in the register of domestic equipment: two for LTE networks (800 and 1800 MHz) and one for 5G (4.8-4.9 GHz). Another important task for 2024 is to supply, launch and put into operation 300 LTE and 5G base stations. As for the fifth generation, these will be MTS test zones. LTE equipment will be put into operation in the existing MTS network," Dmitry Lakontsev explained to ComNews.
and the president of "Rostelecom" Mikhail Oseevsky, in the presence of Maksut Shadayev, invited "Irtea" to join the ICC "Mobile Communications". Dmitry Lakontsev told ComNews that the company will apply for joining the ICC in the coming month.
"It is too early to talk about the active deployment of 5G and LTE networks, as well as to set specific deadlines," says Mikhail Telegin, Deputy General Director for Strategic Projects at Obit LLC. "For now, the emphasis is on maintaining the usual quality of communication due to the shortage of infrastructure equipment and software. With 5G technology, even more difficulties arise: access to certain frequencies, production and infrastructure capacities are required," he said. "For now, we are at the stage of testing individual BS samples."
Director of the Department of Network Solutions at Step Logic LLC Evgeny Knyazev said that for now, domestic developers are focused on launching production of LTE base stations. "Firstly, it is necessary to support the current networks of mobile operators, and secondly, frequencies for 5G have not been cleared at present, most of which are occupied by government agencies. In addition, there is no domestic core equipment for 5G networks on the market. The first Russian analogues will most likely be tested no earlier than 2025," explained Evgeny Knyazev.
