Yesterday, May 20, JSC Russian Post launched a single online service for entrepreneurs. It will automate in a single window the key processes necessary for a seller to work with marketplaces, delivery services, classifieds and other online sales showcases.

Artem Sokolov, President of the Association of Internet Trade Companies, told a ComNews correspondent: "We see how professionally the Russian Post team works, how services are updated and business processes are being reconfigured. And we are already seeing the results of commercial cooperation between Internet trade companies and the postal operator: buyers in remote regions have gained wide access to goods, and online sales volumes there have grown significantly. If we talk about a separate digital platform, then the one-stop shop mode, where the main business processes are automated, is certainly one of the most optimal solutions - it is always a noticeable saving of all possible resources. In general, the entire industry is moving towards automation of routine processes, and, in our opinion, Russian Post is also doing this in step with the times."

Andrey Vasilenko, an analyst in the Supply Chain and Operations Management practice at Reksoft Consulting, said that the Russian Post development strategy until 2030, approved back in 2021, among other things, formulated the task of creating a set of related services for all participants in the e-commerce market, especially for small and medium-sized businesses. "In my opinion, the launch of such a platform is a logical step on the part of Russian Post to implement its long-term development vector. Despite the fact that the set of tools offered at the start does not seem unique, and the task is extremely ambitious, I believe that the platform has potential: the Russian e-commerce market continues to grow (by 22% more in 2023 compared to 2022), as does the number of sellers on marketplaces," said Andrey Vasilenko.
