Anton Grachevnikov, Director of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Products at SberMobile, believes that the creation of a digital twin of the elevator and a digital registry will lead to increased efficiency of elevator operation as a result of the work of trained AI models - this includes reducing the waiting time for the elevator due to dynamic load analytics, and increasing energy efficiency, and improving safety while reducing maintenance costs due to the transition to repairs based on the actual condition of the elevator. "On the downside, like any other initiative, creating a digital registry of elevators will require implementation costs. Nevertheless, it seems that in the current realities, this process is inevitable - it is much more efficient to receive reliable information about the condition of the elevator in seconds than to conduct regular physical inspections or wait for requests from residents. The emergency team should leave even before the button for communication with the dispatcher is pressed - based on the fact of a breakdown recorded in the slovenia whatsapp resource situation center of the service organization directly from the equipment," Anton Grachevnikov emphasized.
company C&U told a ComNews correspondent that C&U certainly supports the initiative to create a single registry and a digital twin, as this can simplify the work of the management company in subsequent operation in terms of monitoring the implementation of periodic preventive maintenance and repairs and eliminate the human factor (as an example - periodic technical inspection of elevators). "Among the disadvantages, it can be noted that the system will also need to be serviced and have a specialized specialist who will understand the intricacies of the digital twin. In our opinion, this will increase costs, since at least one more section of the project appears that was not previously envisaged. The digital twin must be integrated into the elevator equipment, and any integration costs money," noted the representative of the press service of C&U.
The C&U press service representative also noted the advantages of a digital twin, which will improve the quality of preventive maintenance, which will ensure the highest level of safety in the operation of elevator equipment: "A digital twin will be able to collect information on errors and accidents on equipment in real time, analyze them and simplify the search for the right solution to problems that have arisen, which is currently impossible to do promptly, since elevator equipment adjusters are highly specialized specialists, and you have to wait for them for hours or even days. It is very difficult to estimate the cost of implementing such a project, since it is still at the idea level, and how it will be implemented, with the use of what software, on what equipment and how much the integration service will cost - it is impossible to say."
