Awin has interviewed Sergio Martínez de Cestafe, CMO of Logitravel to find out how Logitravel works.
Logitravel.com is the online travel agency specialising in the sale of cruises, holiday packages, hotels on the coast, tours and long trips. With only 13 years of history, Logitravel has positioned itself at the top of the online travel agencies. But what is the OTA market like? What is the impact of the affiliate channel? Sergio Martínez de Cestafe, CMO of Logitravel, tells us all the key points.
What is Logitravel.com's view on the OTA market?
It is a very competitive market with many players involved. Travel sales are no longer the exclusive responsibility of agencies, but suppliers themselves have launched online sales. Strong supports have also emerged in the sector, such as metasearch engines, social networks and the power of recommendations, and all of this creates a complex framework for online travel sales.
Logitravel defines itself as a different online travel agency… What sri lanka phone number makes you different from others?
We are a travel agency specialising in holidays, with a wide range of trips to choose from. We are widely known for our offer of Holiday Packages (Flight + Hotel), Tours, Cruises, Combined Tours and our flexibility in Car Routes.
On the other hand, focusing on the holiday branch of the travel sector has allowed us to ensure for many years a personalised customer service with a deep knowledge of the holiday product that we offer our clients.
What need does Logitravel meet?
Holidays and leisure. We have been able to transfer all the holiday travel offers and complementary information that the client needs to decide on these trips online. We offer total independence to those more autonomous travelers when it comes to organizing their vacations, and online and telephone advice to those who require a professional recommendation and/or help when booking their trip.
How is customer service managed in an online travel agency like yours?
The complexity of customer service in an online travel agency like Logitravel means that we have to divide it into different teams. For this reason, we rely on professional experts at the product level and others at the destination level. This allows us to be able to advise any of our clients in the best way possible.
Starting your expansion in 2007 in Portugal and giving more and more importance to internationalization, what can we expect from Logitravel in terms of expansion for the coming years?
Indeed, we are preparing the launch of Logitravel in new markets as it is part of our growth strategy. We are going to expand our horizons towards Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. Even so, we will do it step by step and with perseverance, since internationalization has its complications, you have to know how to adapt your business to each market and that requires time, analysis and a lot of investment for it to work.
