Talent Days is also a great opportunity

Post by Rrakibmmm »

I'm also very pleased that it was thanks to Talent Match that I was able to learn about job opportunities at Decathlon. I found out about the program itself from your Facebook and TikTok . My suggestions for preparing for these interviews are definitely to thoroughly organize your CV and upload it to your Talent Days profile . Secondly, don't be afraid to talk to employers and ask about the issues that interest you. It's important to make 100% use of this opportunity to talk live and dispel any doubts. We don't have such a chance through online applications. Thirdly, take part in competitions and have fun, because Talent Days is also a great opportunity to make new friends and find out what's going on in the job market.

Face to face contact - the only option

TALENT DAYS: You mentioned that "we fantuan data
don't have such an opportunity with online applications", do you see any other advantage?

ZUZANNA: The most important advantage of Talent Match over traditional recruitment is the opportunity I mentioned to talk to the employer in person – about their expectations, development opportunities, working conditions. We, on the other hand, can talk about our expectations regarding the job position, in which areas we would like to develop further, what interests us. In this way, we have a very good chance that a given job offer will be well-matched and satisfying to us. Additionally, we have the opportunity to make a “ good first impression ” even before the formal and official interview, which can give us an advantage in the recruitment process.

The recruitment process at Decathlon
TALENT DAYS: So how did the recruitment process go from your perspective after participating in Talent Match? What did the employer pay special attention to?

ZUZANNA: After talking to the employer at Talent Days , where I presented my skills, interests, experience and availability - after a few days I had an initial phone conversation with them. Then I received an invitation to a meeting in the office. The atmosphere during the interview was very pleasant - we had already met and I did not feel as stressed as in the case of the first contact with the recruiter. After a week I received positive information about passing the recruitment process. Interestingly, during the interview the employer paid special attention to my charisma, character and attitude. Soft skills definitely played a key role here .

See what this process looked like from the perspective of Zuzanna's employer.

Zuza's #PerfectMatch with her employer
TALENT DAYS: It’s been a few months since you attended the job fair – tell us what it’s like working at Decathlon after all this time?

ZUZANNA: I have been working at Decathlon for 3 months now. I am very impressed by the great atmosphere in the team - everyone is very well-coordinated and helpful. Thanks to the flexible work schedule, I can easily combine full-time studies, work and sports training. Working at Decathlon gives me a lot of joy, satisfaction and I know that I have many opportunities for development here. The employer takes great care of its employees and that is mainly why I would like to stay at this company and be able to spread my wings here. This cooperation is a bull's eye and definitely a "Perfect match".

TALENT DAYS: This satisfaction certainly comes from the duties performed. Can you tell us a bit about what you do in your current position?

ZUZANNA: I currently work as a sports consultant in the ski and bike department, where I mainly advise clients on choosing equipment. However, which is very important to me, I can also take on additional tasks related to my interests, e.g. marketing or customer service. The most important thing is that I combine my passion for sports with work.

How to adapt to a new role?
TALENT DAYS: Zuza, it's really wonderful to see your satisfaction with the match with your employer. Finally, with your experience, what advice would you give to young people about adapting to a new role and work environment?

ZUZANNA: You definitely have to choose a job according to your interests and competences, to simply like what you do. It is also important to be open to new challenges, not to be afraid of taking risks and making mistakes. Try to learn from the experience of others, observe and learn from them. Most importantly - a positive attitude , at the beginning it is always difficult to adapt to new surroundings and standards, but with the right approach and willingness to act it comes much easier.

Time is running out - take part in Talent Match!
You also have the opportunity to meet an employer individually during the Talent Match job fair. It is worth hurrying, because in order for us to find the perfect match for you, you must indicate in your Talent Days profile that you want to participate in the Talent Match program.

The more precisely you describe your experience, expectations, preferences and interests , the greater the chance that we will find a perfect match with the employer - and this will bring you a great job after the fair.
