What is the difference between working on the support side and working on the business side?

"Web Industry Evolution Practical Course #01" began with Takamatsu reflecting on his own career (for details, see Interview just before the event - Web directors discuss the potential based on their experiences on both the support and business sides ).

Takamatsu began his career in support before moving to the business side, where he worked at a web consulting firm and is currently COO at Nile Co., Ltd.

Based on his experience in both the support and business sides, Takamatsu divided job types related to the web industry into two categories : "specialist or generalist" and "business side or support side," and summarized the differences and characteristics of each environment.

The specialist side includes programmers, designers, server engineers, etc. In contrast, the generalist side is the web director.
In terms of working style, support staff are involved in a wide variety of projects, and while they are expected to improve their skills, they are honestly very busy. On the other hand, business staff are involved in limited themes, so they have more free time, but you can't expect to improve their skills as much, says Takamatsu.

Takamatsu: I think it's very common for people who have gained experience in various cases on the support side and developed their skills to want to try out those skills on the business side. In fact, I have followed that same path in my career. If you change jobs from the support side to the business side, that is, if you experience both positions and become a person who understands the feelings of both, your market value will increase. If someone who has gained experience on the support side is thinking about changing jobs to the business side, I think "it's definitely a good idea."

So, what are the specific differences between working on the support side and working on the business
