Errors while shipping a product?

Post by suchona.kani.z »

I decided to do a collaboration with a big meme page, even though their numbers indicated it wouldn’t be a profitable collaboration. The account had a ton of followers, I think it was around 10 million. They charged me $1,500 for a post and that post only brought in $800 in gross revenue. That meant I lost a ton of money after factoring in cost of goods sold and all my fees.

I have learned that you should not rely on intuition for business, you should always listen to the data. If the numbers align with the idea, then go for it, whether it is a shoutout or even deciding whether to sell a product. Your intuition can help you in other situations, but not in this type of business decision.

For her first store, young entrepreneur Allanah decided to capitalize on the spookiest season with a Halloween store. She was still excited from her first sale when a customer messaged her about a ring she saw advertised. Speaking of mistakes to avoid, what happened is a lesson for all dropshipping entrepreneurs, and it’s one of those small business problems that can happen to anyone.

I realized that when I was building my store, I had created a new korea email list shipping profile to set up free shipping to the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. At that point, I had imported some products into my store, but not all of them. So, while the existing products in my store were added to this shipping profile, any new products I imported – like the ring – were put into the general profile.
And, stupidly, I hadn’t set up any rates for the general profile, so it was assumed that we wouldn’t ship those products anywhere.

This meant that potential buyers could add the item to their cart and fill out their information, including choosing which of five countries they wanted to ship to. However, in the next step – the shipping section – they were told that shipping was not offered.
