It is about material of an entertaining nature - the "lifestyle" content that we mentioned earlier. However, most of such material has moved from blogs to social networks. Why? Due to easier content consumption. So, the basic role of the blog has changed and shifted from entertainment to education. From "lifestyle" we move on to "how to" topics. When it comes to education, a blog will take away all points from social networks. For example, you want to give advice in the field of digital marketing. You will have a hard time conveying such information using Instagram posts or even a video. You can simply read the blog text at your own pace, which is very important for absorbing important tips and information. In addition, even if you manage to translate the advice into an interesting Instagram post, there is a high probability that the information will not reach the right person or the right person at the right time. It is enough to remember when you telegram data yourself visit social networks - when you want to have fun and when you are not looking for serious information. If you want to educate yourself, you'll probably enter keywords into a Google search and find an informative blog site.
Clickbait no longer bites (or fishes)…
In the past, sensationalist titles were the right way to the hearts of readers (or, on the other hand, greedy readers were more easily "fished" for click bait). Today, the use of this trend is more than dangerous. Namely, if you publish a text entitled "How to earn 10,000 euros per month from blogging", you will surely get a huge number of clicks. However, the problem comes when you don't reveal the secret in a blog post because you simply don't have the answer (and if you do, we'd love to hear it). What did you do? You misled the audience. Over time, Google has become very sensitive to the dissatisfaction of visitors to a certain site, and after a few "clickbait" sessions, it will stop ranking your page highly.
It is also very important that the information offered does not seem generic. The more content is offered, the more discerning people become and "fish" for an expert answer to the question. Simply put, when reading blogs people still imagine communicating with another human being and they don't just want a bunch of generic content and layman's opinion. How to avoid marketing generic information? For example, you want to start a fashion blog. It's no secret that the online space is already saturated with this type of content. What you should do is narrow down your blog and focus. Namely, you can narrow down your target group to women, aged 25-35, who live in Serbia or Vojvodina. In this way, you narrow the niche in which you operate and numerous generic blogs are no longer your competition.
