Be sure to double-check with WinDirStat that the Recycle Bin is no longer taking up space. I say this because sometimes you may have multiple Recycle Bins on your computer and another one may still be taking up a significant amount of memory.

However, if you are having issues with your Recycle Bin, the above method may not help you empty your Recycle Bin. If so, follow these steps to deleteempty your Recycle Bin directly from the reference folder $RECYCLE.BIN.

Click on the 3 dots in the top menu and select "Options" pen Explorer Options
Open Explorer Options

Go to the View tab .
Select Show hidden files, folders, and devices and uncheck china telegram data Hide protected operating system files .Show hidden and protected files
Show hidden and protected files

Click Apply and OK .
Now go to the boot volume usually drive C.
Right-click the hidden folder " $RECYCLE.BIN " and select "Delete" .Delete the hidden RECYCLE BIN folder.
Delete the hidden $RECYCLE.BIN folder.

If prompted for confirmation, select Do this for all current items , and then click Yes ermanently delete everything in the Recycle Bin folder.
Permanently delete everything in the Recycle Bin folder.

Once you have completed the above steps, you will notice that the "$RECYCLE.BIN" folder remains. However, the folder will now be empty and all contents will be permanently deleted.
