Products and Services - Product Name.

Post by Joywtome231 »

For example, a value proposition for a CRM system might look like this:

"A CRM system with a simple interface that works stably."
Alex Osterwalder's Value Proposition Template
Business theorist Alex Osterwalder created a business model template that is convenient for describing the value of a product. Osterwalder's canvas or template (in English, the value proposition canvas template) consists of two blocks.

Block 1. Client profile
To develop a value proposition, you need to understand your customers. To do this, you need to analyze:

Problems - what risks and resistances might a client face when solving their problems with your product ?
Tasks - what a person uses the product for .
Benefits - what benefits people get from using the product.
To study all three factors, they conduct surveys of the target audience and use the Jobs to be done tool , an approach that helps to understand the motives of users.

Let's say a company produces a body massager. Let's consider how a customer profile can be described in this case:

Problems . Clients are afraid that they will not be able to understand the modes and settings. They do not know how to do the massage correctly .
Tasks. A massager is needed to relieve muscle pain, relax tense muscles, tighten body contours, and make the skin smooth and beautiful .
Benefits: The benefit of the product is that the client will feel energetic after the workout and will look better.
Already at this stage, you can understand whether the product is needed by the market and whether it performs the tasks that are important to people.

Block 2. Value Map
The key elements of the value proposition that need to be described in the second block are:

Benefit factors - what characteristics of the product will help people get the latvia phone number list benefits they need, what is the product useful for ?
Helping factors are what characteristics enable people to solve their problems.
Let's go back to the massager example. This is what the characteristics for the value map will look like:

Products and services. Percussion massager Beauty X.
Benefit factors. The high frequency percussion massager reduces post-workout soreness → benefit “I will feel energetic after my workout.” The massager eliminates swelling and cellulite → benefit “I will look better .
Help factors. Video instructions for setting up a massager → solves the problem of “I can’t figure out the modes and settings”. Video lessons for learning massage → solves the problem of “I don’t understand how to do a massage correctly”.
Once you have collected all the data, fill out the value proposition template using the example below.

This is what Osterwalder's value proposition canvas looks like, value proposition canvas template
Now, to create a value proposition, you need to understand which features are important to describe in the text and which can be removed. Once you have studied these patterns, create a value proposition using Alex Osterwalder's formula.
