Principle 1: We shouldn't need to store all our information in our heads.
It’s a simple thing — if we have to understand something complex on a regular basis, especially if it changes over time, that information needs to be on the page. For example, if I’m trying to plan a marketing strategy and I have to constantly look at the information on the screen and then convert it in my head to figure out what time we have from month to month, I’m going to lose track and, ultimately, my mind.
