The second way to create a promotion is from the Business Manager. In order for promotions to start from your Facebook page and be published on Instagram you must connect the Instagram account from the page settings and enter the corresponding user and password.
Once you have linked your accounts, you can go to the "Create Ad" section and enter the details for your Instagram ad as in the images below, where I start an Ad with the marketing objective "traffic".
After selecting your audience by location, gender, age, interests, and behaviors why choose our service select your ad placement, which can be your Instagram feed or Stories.

Once you have chosen the placement, proceed by establishing the budget - daily or total - within the ad; then you can decide whether to define the start and end of the ad. In the specific case of clicks on the link you can define the campaign per click or per impression.

Once you have the programming done, go ahead and insert the creative - images or videos. In my case I inserted an image that provides the Facebook archive. Once you have chosen the image, insert the link to the page where you want people to land to learn about your company's product or service.
Enter a catchy message that briefly describes what you want to communicate with the image you choose for your Ads.
You can choose to select a specific CTA (call to action) that invites people to take an action, such as “Learn more” or “Contact us” .
