Smart cities
New this year was the smart cities marketplace , a trend that Amsterdam is also strongly committed to . I think that there can be added value for every city. The slides provide an overview of the advantages of smart cities:EU Smart Cities focus on environment and energy use

Fifty-three hand-selected startups with products and services in all kinds of areas: from care (e-health) to simulating large groups of people . According to the startups, it was tiring, but very worthwhile. My LinkedIn timeline was full of positive messages. Wanderwatch was on CNET TV , Roader made it to BNR .
At first glance it was a success for the Dutch delegation led by Prince Constantijn, who also opened the pavilion together with CTA boss Gary Shapiro.

Light, Lighter, Acer
Acer was also present. Not at the show itself, but in the Hard Rock Hotel. There they showed the newest and lightest notepad. A little over a kilo in weight and with 9mm thickness thinner than a pen. A trend that has been going on since the ultrabook standard of Intel a few years ago and which certainly did not do any harm for Acer (then not known for the high-end light notebooks).

er, but I am not blind. So I asked Koninklijke Visio, an expertise center for visually impaired and blind people. Fortunately, they had just done a study on eSight last December.
