ndrey Goncharuk, Deputy Director of the Legal Department of SberTroika LLC (a subsidiary of Sber, the Government of Moscow and the Moscow Region), announced at the PRO//Movement.Expo International Railway Equipment and Technology Fair on August 25, 2023 that SberTroika will create a unified digital platform (UDP) SberTroika 2.0, built on the basis of individual components of the existing automated fare payment system (AFPS) SberTroika PRO.

According to Andrey Goncharuk, the ghana whatsapp resource project implementation at the company’s expense will take from three to five years, and if the company receives a grant from the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT), then one and a half years.

"We expect funding to reach the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and approval of the procedure for financing particularly significant projects. We do not know such deadlines today. We estimate the total cost of the project at 311,750,000 rubles. An application for a grant is submitted for the entire project at once, it will amount to 249,390,000 rubles. 62,360,000 rubles are our funds," Andrey Goncharuk told a ComNews correspondent.

The Ministry of Digital Development has developed measures to stimulate venture investments in Russian IT projects and sent the document to other departments for approval. According to the digital ministry, venture funds will replace state grants, for which the Russian government does not have enough money. Eight venture funds have already shown interest in cooperation.

The company's plan states that at least 59 regional projects will use the SberTroika platform solution, and then the ECC by the end of 2025.

According to SberTroika, the transition from a multi-instance architecture to a multi-tenant architecture will be implemented on a single digital platform, which will allow the use of a single software core in a shared mode (PaaS) for all existing and new customers, while individual customer-specific software components and data will be deployed on its capacities individually.

From the rationale for the project idea it follows that this solution will ensure a high level of centralized protection - of the data processing center and key software components.

The developers claim that specialists from regional and municipal services in the area of public transport organization will have the opportunity to manage tariffs based on behavior and preference analysis using big data analysis technologies; and organizations that carry out passenger transportation will have access to a full cycle of revenue management in transport.

Based on the results of this stage, the software for the unified digital platform "SberTroika 2.0" will be registered in the Unified Register of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases.

From February 1, 2021, the capital's transport card "Troika" can be used to pay for travel in the Moscow region.

Independent expert on telecom and IT markets Vadim Plesskiy believes that the main beneficiaries of the introduction of digital infrastructure for paying for travel are municipal and regional authorities. "In this project, the word "Sber" in the name of the product is confusing. Closing all processes and cash flows into one bank is the wrong approach, there should be healthy competition," he added.

According to him, technologically, the processing of chip cards like "Troika" is not difficult. "In Moscow, bank cards are accepted as a means of payment for transport. In fact, for the end consumer - the passenger, there is no difference whether he pays with a bank card or a "Troika" card. The focus on "Troika" cards is the desire of the Department of Transport to close the payment process to itself," says Vadim Plessky.

"For Russian regions, it seems reasonable to me to develop projects with regional banks and transport companies. We have all the necessary technologies in our country, this area has successfully and timely substituted imports. And in the future, a transition to a digital ruble is possible - this will make the payment process even simpler and more transparent," he added.
