"Cellular companies are accelerating mobile Internet

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

ussian IT company RDTECH will enter the domestic mobile communications market in 2024 with a service for supplying telecommunications equipment from Russian vendors. According to Deputy General Director for Sales at RDTECH Grant Arutyunov, network equipment is in short supply because user traffic is growing rapidly, which means that telecom operators need to strengthen their infrastructure.
in particular, with the help of refarming, launching new communication standards on the existing frequency resource - LTE instead of 2G. For such a process of frequency redistribution, numerous switches, routers, network controllers, subscriber access devices, etc. are needed. Their shortage is obvious, it is caused by the departure of foreign vendors from the market," added Grant Arutyunov.

He also said that equipment egypt whatsapp number database of this type is needed not only by the telecom sector. It is needed by many companies, especially in the energy and oil and gas industries, which are building private LTE networks (Private LTE). These players especially need help in implementing such devices.

"We plan to work only with Russian manufacturers. Negotiations are underway with vendors, but it is not yet possible to name them. The volume of deliveries will depend on the demands of market players and the capabilities of vendors," Grant Arutyunov told a ComNews correspondent.

A representative of the press service of PJSC VimpelCom (brand Beeline) reported that Beeline has no problems with deliveries: "We have no problems with deliveries. However, we are considering all available alternatives, including cooperation within the framework of forward contracts with Russian manufacturers. We have already concluded two such contracts, and we are waiting for the decisions to be ready. This work will continue."

A representative of the press service of PJSC MegaFon also spoke about the conclusion of forward contracts: MegaFon is open to cooperation with all manufacturers and suppliers of telecom equipment represented in Russia. We are actively testing a number of solutions, and are moving to the stage of concluding forward contracts with some companies. In 2022, we signed a forward contract for the supply of Russian base stations with Yadro. In October 2023, we signed a forward contract with Bulat. Currently, MegaFon has a large stock of equipment, including base stations for providing high-level communication services."

Work on forward contracts has not bypassed the mobile operator Tele2. "We are interacting with Russian vendors within the framework of forward contracts for the development of equipment and are waiting for deliveries. Tele2 is open to cooperation and is ready to consider proposals from domestic manufacturers," emphasized a representative of the Tele2 press service.

Grant Arutyunov specified what equipment is currently lacking in Russia: "If we are talking about a deficit, we are talking about 5G equipment. Fifth-generation communication technologies were created specifically in the interests of industry. Many large Russian companies would be ready to implement 5G today, but such equipment is not yet produced in Russia. Domestic manufacturers of telecom equipment will be able to provide the market with 5G base stations (BS) no earlier than 2026. The process with Russian BS of other standards is also not moving quickly. One of the market players expects the first prototypes of mobile BS only in the first half of 2024."
