"The software product provides the developer with tools in the Kotlin and TypeScript languages with a set of libraries and support from the manufacturer. This will reduce the man-hours of creating applications and standardize their architecture," the source reports.
"When creating G2, Gazprombank developers tried to collect all the advantages of existing platforms," the financial institution's press service told ComNews, "and avoid their dominican republic whatsapp number database global problems: high cost of ownership, long development process, unsightly and inconvenient applications, non-systemic design and change management, as well as dependence on the developer."
"We achieved this through the platform framework, code generation based on the information system model, the use of the DSL language and developer tools that we developed. At the UI/UX level, problems are solved using the Mebius design system and its support at the platform level. These and other steps solve business problems in a short time and allow import substitution of complex systems," the press service quotes the developers as saying.
A couple of applications have already been created on G2: for planning and managing enterprise liquidity and working with the SWIFT message archive. Analogues of SAP and Oracle are in the future. But the fact that their substitutes can be created on the platform does not mean that they will be created, says independent expert on the IT and telecom markets Vadim Plesskiy.
"SAP has its own ABAP language - a proprietary internal high-level programming language. Has Gazprombank imported the ABAP language? Then the syntax of the language and some examples of its operation should be published somewhere. This is not the case," the ComNews expert comments.
"Today, there are no analogues to SAP in Russia. These are too complex products. Banks replace this software product in accordance with their development capabilities. But their products are not a full-fledged replacement for SAP and Oracle. If someone says so, this is an attempt to pass off wishful thinking as reality," suggested Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, in a conversation with a ComNews correspondent.
As the bank's press service reported, the "platform layer of the software layer" (terminology for software and hardware platforms) of G2 is its own development. Otherwise, the creators relied on open source software, such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, and the React javascript library. The free PostgreSQL was used as a database management system (DBMS).
Vadim Plesskiy believes: "To understand the value of their development, it would be useful to look at the code of their solutions and the functionality offered. However, Gazprombank's announcement does not include a link to the repository where they posted it - Github or some Russian equivalent. If the solution itself is interesting and useful, other developers can join in its development and improvement. Otherwise, it will remain within the company itself," the expert told ComNews.
G2 is already presented on the market, primarily for Gazprombank clients and partners. The credit institution plans to widely distribute the platform next year. However, it is already included in the register of Russian software.
"We do not have a goal to capture any market or niche. The key task is to help clients solve their problems, including import substitution. As practice shows, using our platform this happens quickly and effectively. The best advertising is the obvious usefulness of the product," a Gazprombank developer told ComNews.
Gazprombank reported this in the programmers’ blog on January 24.
