Built-in mechanics on the service side

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

"Avito's current development vectors are increasing the level of service and user culture, improving the accuracy of metrics and reducing side metrics, as well as educating users about protection methods and tools. According to surveys, 73% of users trust the platform in 2024," said Andrey Rybintsev.

The issue of trust in the transactions was outlined by the Director of Product, Trust and Security Department of Avito Natalia Yumatova. She said that during the experiments Avito has seen that the number of sellers who provide a high level of service (green sellers) on the platform has grown by 16%. "This is actually a merit of both our efforts from the point of view of the product and the sellers themselves, who see tips in the personal account, in the interface, on how to correctly work with buyers, what to pay attention to, and, accordingly, working on the level of service, they also improve the quality of transactions that come to the platform," said Natalia Yumatova.

She mentioned that one of Avito's biggest focuses for several years now has been checking sellers and buyers and the ability to confirm that a real person or company is behind an account. "We call this verification, and at the moment, more than 14 thousand people undergo verification every day and receive digital badges. Over the year, this figure has tripled. This area is important for us, including because our surveys and studies show that 90% of platform users prefer verified sellers, which is why we are so focused and working hard to ensure that the client passes this check," said Natalia Yumatova.

Head of the Unified System of Identification, Authentication and Digital Profile (ESIA) Lyudmila Levkova noted that the level of trust in ESIA is growing and more than 100 thousand identifications occur every day.

The head of the Fund for the Rights of Borrowers, Evgeniya Lazareva, named the main tools for protection against cyber threats:

A representative of the press service of the Russian integrator Angara Security told a ComNews correspondent that it is possible to reduce the number of leaks and, consequently, crimes through cyber literacy of company employees, even if they have access to customer and partner data, and by taking the necessary information security measures to the IT infrastructure of companies. "In addition, systemic monitoring of the external perimeter of the IT infrastructure is necessary, through which about 80% of attacks on businesses are carried out," said a representative of the press service of Angara Security.

According to Andrey Mishukov, CEO of Itprotect, in order to understand how to reduce fraud statistics, it is necessary to analyze the cases that are included in these statistics, as well as understand the reasons why fraud occurred and the factors that contributed to it, and then take measures to prevent fraudsters from using the means, communication channels, and factors that allow them to commit these actions.
