Another way people try to manipulate search engines is keyword stuffing. It involves stuffing keywords into web pages in the hope of ranking higher, as in the example below:

After checking for manual actions, you can check Google Search Console to see if Google has reported security issues with your site. Google's top priority is to protect its users from harm, so these penalties tend to be more severe.

Just go to "Security & Manual Actions" "Manual Actions" in Google Search Console.
