Franchising is a structured business model in which a brand owner ( franchisor ) grants an independent entrepreneur ( franchisee ) the right to operate a business using the franchisor's name, logo, and operating system. This agreement usually includes ongoing support in areas such as marketing , training, and management. In return, the franchisee pays an initial fee and periodic royalties to the franchisor.
