Messenger Advertising – Sponsored Messages

Post by sumaiyakhatun26 »

If you simply sponsor posts or use automatic placement selection, you may not even know it, but they are already showing up on Messenger.

Are these types of ads effective? Yes, but so far in the campaigns I've run they've been effective in a supporting role.

The catch is that you can't run a separate set of ads just for Messenger. It always has to go hand in hand with FB news. And those get the vast majority of views, so we don't really know how Messenger would do on its own.

There is a way around this – if you want to run a separate ad set just for Messenger, use the “Traffic” ad objective instead of “Messages” to launch it.

But for the most part, just leave this placement enabled in the ad sets where you turkey rcs data target Facebook. Messenger won’t hurt, and it might get you a few more conversions without eating up a significant portion of your budget.

The second type of advertising on Messenger is sponsored messages. Facebook has introduced a separate advertising objective dedicated to them. So when creating a campaign, you need to select the “Messages” objective.

Then select the second option from the drop-down menu (we'll come back to the first one):
