All pathomorphological laboratories of Moscow hospitals have been equipped with a Russian-made information system. It was initially tested in pathomorphological laboratories of oncology hospitals, where its capabilities were highly rated. This was reported by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
"Improving the quality of italy cell phone number list laboratory diagnostics is one of the important tasks of the Moscow healthcare system. We have equipped all pathomorphological laboratories of Moscow hospitals with a domestic laboratory information system. This software allows you to automate all stages of histological studies - one of the most important and reliable diagnostic methods for oncological diseases. Histology helps to distinguish between benign and malignant diseases, determine the stage of oncology, select the right treatment and monitor the dynamics of the patient's condition. Now all stages of the study, from receiving and registering biomaterial to forming the result, are carried out electronically. It is important that the system is fully integrated with EMIAS. This allows patients to receive histology results in an electronic medical record - there is no longer a need to come to a medical institution for the results. In addition, the doctor will call the patient if the histological study result is negative. This became possible thanks to the telemedicine service, which appeared in outpatient oncology care centers this fall," said Anastasia Rakova.
will be called and invited to see a doctor to learn the results of the examination.
Unification of laboratory services allowed for seamless integration with EMIAS according to uniform standards and rules. Thanks to the Russian-made Labforce information system, research results are displayed in the electronic medical history of an inpatient. This has increased the efficiency of interaction between hospital treatment and diagnostic departments — doctors promptly receive information about research results, respond more quickly, and refer patients to specialized specialists. Thus, the time for making clinical decisions is significantly reduced. Outpatient and polyclinic doctors will now also have online access to the results of pathological and anatomical studies, which will ensure continuity at all stages of treatment.
"Previously, the city's medical institutions independently selected and purchased laboratory information systems. In most of them, the process was not automated, and protocols were filled out mainly on paper. Thanks to a single system integrated with EMIAS, the patient now receives the results of the study much faster. It is important that the information is also available to doctors in the patient's electronic medical record. This allows them to make clinical decisions faster and better," added Anastasia Rakova.
The basis of the new service is a single digital healthcare platform, which has been modernized for over 10 years by the Moscow Social Development Complex together with the Department of Information Technology. It provides personalized patient management at all stages. Data on the patient's health is included in a single digital circuit and becomes available online to both doctors and patients themselves.
