Install the WooCommerce integration extension

Next, you need to install and activate the WooCommerce integration extension.

You can download it from shandong phone number the account area on the SearchWP website and install it like any other WordPress plugin.

Now you are ready to set up a SearchWP custom search engine.

Just go to SearchWP’s Settings page and make sure you’re in the Engine tab. Once there, you need to click on the Sources and Settings button.

A pop-up window will open and you need to make sure the checkbox next to "Products" is checked. This way SearchWP will be able to index WooCommerce products.

WooCommerce product reviews are stored as reviews. You must also check the "Comments" box if you want your comments to be searchable.

Once completed, click the "Done" button to close the pop-up window.

Now you need to scroll down to the Products section. Note that by default, the plugin only parses product title, content (description), slug, and excerpt (short description).

You can expand the scope of SearchWP by clicking the Add/Remove Properties button.

A pop-up window will open where you can include custom fields and specific taxonomies in your search. In this tutorial, we added the Color and Size custom fields as well as the Product Category and Product Tag taxonomies.

You can now click the Done button and you should notice that your custom fields and taxonomies have been added to the Products section of SearchWP.
