Angstrom's Case: Three Times More Traffic to a Furniture Store's Website

Until the end of 2019, traffic on the Angstrem website grew steadily thanks to the development of the store and the implemented SEO tasks. The autumn peak of seasonality and a series of sales only increased the growth of traffic. At some point, the server could no longer withstand the increasing volume of visitors and began to fail: for short periods of time several times a week, it turned off, and visitors were shown “error 500”.

We monitor the availability of the site and it is important for us that the site works without interruptions, because we understand that while the site is not working: firstly, our client immediately loses part of the sales, secondly, if search twitter data robots get to the non-working pages of the site, this will harm the positions, and accordingly the traffic, which again will lead to a decrease in sales, but at a distance, in 1-2 months.

We agreed with the client to upgrade the server, but this is not a quick matter. The client's main resources during the peak sales were directed to processing orders and, accordingly, correcting errors on the site related to the growth of orders. Misfortunes never come alone and simultaneously with interruptions in the site's operation, an error appears that destroys the logic of region-dependent content on the pages. Now positions and traffic are definitely under threat.
