1. Call for Papers: Indigenous and Minority Rights. The Congress of Nations and States along with The University of Stirling are co-hosting a conference on Indigenous and Minority Rights from 5 – 7 March 2025. The call for papers outlines various topics of interest. The due date for all abstracts is 1 November 2024. This is an in-person conference to be held at the University of Stirling. 2. School of Criminal Law and Military Law International Moot Court Competition. The School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML) is organizing an international moot court competition, which will be held at the Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, from 6 – 8 December 2024. The competition will focus on Public International Law and cover the following themes: Third Party Countermeasure; State Attribution and Extraterritorial Application of Human Rights; Cryptocurrency and Terrorism Funding; and, State vk database Immunity and Terrorism Exception. The registration fee of 85 Euros will cover food and accommodation for all team members from any university. Additionally, need-based financial assistance may be available for students who cannot afford travel expenses. 3. Call for Abstracts: Modern Law Review Seminar – Multilateralism and the Making of International Law – Marine Biodiversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction. A seminar, funded by the Modern Law Review (Modern Law Review Seminar) on ‘Multilateralism and the making of international law: Marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction’ will take place at Wivenhoe House Hotel, University of Essex on Wednesday 4 December 2024 – an Essex Law School event. Scholars, practitioners and experts in the field of international law of the sea and general international law are invited to submit an abstract (max 400 words) via email to meagan.wong {at} essex.ac(.)uk to indicate expression of interest to participate in the seminar. The deadline to submit abstracts is Sunday 13 October at 23.59 London Time (BST). Early-career researchers are particularly encouraged to apply. More information is available here.
