Head of EKF's industry solutions department Andrey Yeltsov told a ComNews correspondent how it works: "We monitor the energy consumption of each machine once a minute or more often. Based on this data, we evaluate the equipment load - whether it is working, idle or switched off. Based on this, we receive a report on how the entire system worked per hour, day, week, month. This is necessary in order to understand how effectively the equipment was used. We receive data on electricity, and we extrapolate it to other processes. At our other production facilities, we monitor other parameters of equipment operation."

As a result of the system implementation, the volume and range of products increased, the equipment utilization rate increased, and energy consumption costs were reduced by 10-15% per year.

"When we worked without this system, the equipment efficiency reached 60%. But already in January, when it reached its design capacity, the efficiency increased to 81%. With this system, we see where our losses are. The machine did not start working faster or slower, but now we can track in time when there is a defect or the machine requires the operator's attention. Previously, all this took more time. On average, the equipment efficiency increased by 25%. In money, this is expressed, given the current production volumes, approximately like this: 1% is equal to 1 million rubles. Accordingly, we began to save 25 million rubles annually," Alexey Popov, director of production at OOO Elektroreshenia in the village of Stavrovo, told a ComNews correspondent.

He added that the enterprise, which switched to the production of import-substituting products, would not have reached today’s figures if the lending conditions had been different.

"The Industrial Development Fund helped us with a preferential loan for five years (1% per annum for the first three years and 3% per annum for the remaining two years) . We purchased equipment and tooling for a specific project, earn money on this equipment and repay the loans to the Industrial Development Fund. Money is very expensive, the percentage of marginality for a manufacturing company fluctuates around 10%. We could not afford to come to the market, take out a loan at 16%, earn 10% and end up with a minus of 6%. We are grateful to the fund for helping us get back on our feet and spend resources on capital investments," said Alexey Popov.

Taking into account the successful previous experience of working with EKF in the village of Stavrovo, the FRP decided to co-finance the localization of production of electrical products - cable channels, cable distribution blocks, construction and installation terminals, switches, etc. With a project budget of 536 million rubles, the FRP will provide 268 million rubles - half of the amount. Equipment is currently being purchased. The result of the project will be a complete rejection of imported components, even Chinese ones. All products within the framework of the project will be 100% Russian.
